NMA Bayelsa delivers quality healthcare services to the state through an efficient and effective service delivery system that is accessible, equitable, culturally acceptable, affordable and sustainable. NMA Bayelsa aims to improve the health and quality of life of all through access to essential health services. NMA Bayelsa strives to reform and strengthen the critical aspects of the health systems.
Roll Back Malaria (RBM)
The RBM initiative by WHO was launched to reduce morbidity and mortality by keeping malaria under effective control so that it does not become a major public health problem.
Alcohol Awareness
Health care professionals should talk to their patients about alcohol and responsible drinking. This enables them to make the most informed decisions about moderate alcohol consumption.
Health Education Programs
Health education programs are funded to educate people on living healthy and hygienic lifestyles. NMA Bayelsa has been supporting activities of social mobilization for Polio, EPI, TB and HIV/AIDS.
Use of Analgesic
Doctors have expressed concern over the increasing use of analgesics for the management of chronic pain, and the potential harms associated with these medicines.
Maternal & Child Care Programs
The improvement in the maternal and child health status is crucial to obtain. The social sector aims for poverty reduction and it is part of all policy documents of the government of Bayelsa State, Nigeria.
Outreach & Community Based Services
These are communal health services rendered to both urban and rural areas of the state. These services include immunization, midwifery, health inspections and consultancy.
